The 'South' includes Phuket City, Kathu, Ao Chalong, Cape Panwa, the Ao Makham Deep Sea Port and the beaches of Patong, Karon, Kata, Nai Harn and Rawai. Both the island’s Yacht Clubs are located in the south – the Ao Chalong Yacht Club and Phuket Yacht Club at Ao Yon on Cape Panwa. The southern part of the island has a huge variety of properties for sale – ranging from 2m Baht condominiums to luxury villas. Developments in the south tend to be smaller and many individual homes are dotted amongst rubber plantations and on hillsides.
