Gaggenau’s new refrigeration line changes the way refrigeration is used in kitchens. The revolutionary modular system enables kitchen designers and consumers to freely design their kitchens without any placement restraints for refrigerator or freezer. Both appliances can be placed independently or together at any location within the kitchen or the house.
Each column features an evaporator and compressor, enabling the consumer to build their kitchen just like a professional chef, following the kitchen workflow. In addition, the groundbreaking column technology prevents odor transfer between refrigerator and freezer since both are individual appliances and operate independently, without air exchange. The independent operation allows for perfect temperatures - the refrigerator is not cooled by the freezer air - and maintains ideal humidity levels for vegetables and fruits to stay crisp and fresh longer.

At a width of 90 cm, the largest built-in oven in the Gaggenau portfolio provides up to 30 percent more volume than conventional models. Its interior is wider than it is tall and has space to broil or roast three or four portions of poultry or meat side by side, several fish or a small lamb.
The EB 388 excels in more than just sheer size. It has eleven heating modes available with separate controls for heat from above and below. A rotisserie and heated baking stone are unique Gaggenau accessories that extend the range of cooking possibilities. In all functions, temperature is reached rapidly and control is precise, from 50°C to 300°C in 5° increments.The oven effectively maintains temperature, continually ensuring consistent cooking results. A ThermoTest feature regularly monitors and displays the actual temperature inside the oven, so one can effortlessly check on the heating or cooling progress.
Home chefs will not burn their hands. The exterior of the oven stays cool even at extreme temperatures with the thermally insulated door that is composed of 4 layers of glass. In addition, the cooled housing feature with temperature protection ensures the oven exterior will not overheat by absorbing air from the room and blowing it out again. A child and vacation lock, set with a combination of buttons and control knobs, prevents little hands from switching on the oven by accident. It automatically shuts off the heat if the oven is left on for more than 12 hours.
Cleanup of the EB 388 is quite simple. A special catalyst consistently purifies the air circulating in the oven, removing grease and odors. Since it is self-regenerating, it has an almost unlimited lifetime. The highly effective pyrolytic self-cleaning program burns off splashes and residues left behind by cooked food. Just set the timer for two to three hours depending on the level of cleaning required, and the oven door will lock automatically.
Finally, the porcelain interior repels just about everything, allowing quick and easy cleanup with the wipe of a sponge.
